Oh, he seemed to have asked the right question, hadn't he?
'Now that I say it out loud, that's quite a lot...But I like to keep busy.' Johnny was smirking, so he was at least amused by her sudden rambling. "Guitar lessons, huh?" he said lowly. He didn't say or ask much else in regards to that, but it had certainly grabbed his interest, even if he didn't seem to pause in what he was doing.
As she continued, he was applying the ointment to that cut carefully before reaching for the band aid. At this point, he wasn't saying anything, and although he didn't really appear to be acknowledging her words, he was indeed listening. Marie had suddenly come alive, and he was in fact finding it rather amusing, just music for him was more a private matter. It was basically all he had growing up, his worn guitar was his most priceless possession he had owned until his father threw a drunken fit one day. It was years before he bothered picking up a guitar again, and he wasn't even sure if he'd be able to play at all anymore.
Still, it was kind of nice to hear someone who was so passionate about music. For a moment, it made him miss something he hadn't been aware he was missing in the first place. She was speaking a language he hadn't known he could really understand or speak.
Marie was finally realizing how much she had gone on about just as he secured the bandage over that tiny wound. Then she was apologizing. Fingers gently grasped her ankle to lower her foot from his bended knee, and those eyes finally lifted to regard her as she sat there. The smile on his face was crooked, and he was still clearly amused. "I may not care about Bieber, however-" He climbed up to his feet to toss the items back into the kit. "The eighties I could get behind...even hair metal." A light chuckle at this confession. "Whitesnake, Van Halen...Warrant. But then, there's always somethin' about Elvis and Frankie." Ah, Ol' Blue Eyes. That was backtracking a bit, and he wasn't full of information like Marie was- he just enjoyed what he enjoyed.
