AGE: 34
HEIGHT: 6’0
WEIGHT: 200 ibs
EYE COLOR: Brown
HAIR COLOR: Brown
HOMETOWN: New Orleans, Louisiana
MARITAL STATUS: Single
OCCUPATION: L.A. P.D Missing Persons Detective
MARKINGS: Has a bite scar on his left arm from a roll with a Gator in his teen years.
SPECIALTIES: Firearms, Communications, Crime Scene Photography, Being able to see what others don’t.
PERSONALITY:
TJ can certainly be a charmer and has a thousand-watt smile that likely resembles the devils. He’s a bit quiet, but mostly because he’s so focused on his job. He has to think about what was missed, what was forgotten, and put himself in another person’s shoes to try and find out what happened to them.
He’s very intelligent and doesn’t talk much about his family, save for his sister Penny and their mother. He doesn’t talk about his father and certain subjects he automatically tunes out or will get heated over. TJ always appears to know something you don’t and can be very hard to read. He can be unpredictable and follows his gut in most things as it hasn’t led him astray yet.
TJ is very protective over his family, but especially his sister Penny. It took him years to warm up to Nate when they started dating and after they broke up, TJ felt the sharp sting of his loss as well. Only, he got way more pissed for Penny’s behave and after seeing what Nate’s loss had done to her, TJ showed Nate some of that Southern Charm with a fist.
Fun facts:
- Likes to go fishing to clear his head
- He refuses to miss Sunday Night Football when the Saints play, unless he’s working a case.
- The spicier the better.
- Always dresses to impress unless he has to go out into the field.
- Wields their mother like a weapon against Penny if they’re at odds and he knows he’s right.
- Throws rolled up pieces of paper at Penny while at work when he sees her.
- Doesn’t like Jeff from accounting and is convinced his sister started to see him, purely to annoy him.
- Prefers Cats over Dogs
- Uses the work Gym before shifts.
FACTS:
- Born the oldest child to a biracial couple. (Mother has old creole roots and Dad came from Scotland)
- His younger sister, Penny, works in the Police/SWAT unit of the same district as her.
- Similar to his sister, he wanted to get into law enforcement after their father was murdered. He specifically went into Missing Persons because they were never able to find their father’s killer, and to this day it bothers him.
- Has a fear of commitment, and was with his high school sweetheart for some time before they parted ways. He still thinks about her occasionally and believes she was the one that got away.
- After Penny said she was moving to L.A, he put in a transfer without a second thought. Not letting her move out there by herself, he promised his mother he’d look out for her.
- When his sister started dating another officer, TJ got highly suspicious and wondered if Nate’s intentions were in the right place. Knowing the type of person Penny is, he was afraid it would end up in him trying to duct tape and super glue her back together.
- After the second year of them being together, TJ finally warmed up to Nate, feeling like he’d proved him wrong.
When Penny showed up at his door stating she was moving out of her and Nate’s Place, TJ did what he could to help her, letting her crash on his couch until she could find another place.
- After seeing what the break-up had done to her, and in the end, being proved right about his suspicions towards Nate, TJ let his temper get the better of him.
- Nate’s extremely lucky TJ didn’t just shoot him.
- Helped Pen get back on her feet but knew she wasn’t the same Pen anymore.
- With his sister finally being in a good place again and deciding to attempt dating again, he can’t decide who hates more. Nate? Or Jeff from Accounting.
