MARITAL STATUS: Single
OCCUPATION: 3rd Grade Elementary school teacher
MARKINGS: Has a bunny line tattoo on the inner part of her left ankle.
SPECIALTIES: Managing 28, 8-year-olds at one time.
PERSONALITY:
Marnie is spunky with a heart of gold. A bright smile, and a need to help kids as best she can. She loves little humans for their unrecognizable intelligence and creativity. If she can help form and teach the next generation, then she’s going to give it her all.
She loves to have fun and just enjoy life. Tries to not let what other people think about her affect her, and is focused on just being her best self.
She’s willing to stick up for other people but has a hard time sticking up for herself. Her upbringing left her feeling unimportant and that she wasn’t good enough, and that people would just walk all over her. It’s taken her years and having to cut ties with her family to become the bright, smiling woman she is today.
Fun Facts:
- Has student artwork framed and hung up, throughout her house.
- Is a pretty good singer and loves to sing along to the radio, and sing with her class.
- Fruit pops are the bomb.com
- Chocolate Mint is her favorite ice cream
- Loves a good white wine
- Has a holland lop bunny (the one on the left) named Rex that doubles the class pet and her pet.
- Loves rabbits, and yes, she does have a framed photo of her and Rex on her bedside table.
- Peonies and carnations are her favorite flowers, as well as lavender.
- Likes to wear dresses.
FACTS:
- Born into a very wealthy family.
- Has an older brother
- Growing up she was the “rich girl” and was constantly used for her parent’s money. Her “friends” only liked her because of the life she had.
- She knew from a young age her father was corrupt.
- Has a very strained relationship with her parents. Her mother, Matilda, is very overbearing and constantly worried about appearances. Her father, Vincent, was more worried about work and ignored her for a good portion of her childhood. He didn’t actually start taking an interest until she was about ten, and then it was always “what daddy wants” making decisions for her, and everything under that sort.
- When she was a senior in high school she decided she wanted to go to school to be a teacher. She told her parents and they didn’t take her seriously, which was Marnie’s last straw.
- After she graduated she left home, her parents telling her she was being ridiculous and that she had nowhere to go. Unbeknownst to them, Marnie had gotten a scholarship to NYU.
- She got a job that summer before moving out there, her parents expecting her to come back once she was done “acting out”. To their surprise, their daughter soon completed her masters in early childhood education.
- She lived in New York for a short while, excepting no money from her parents, before she eventually moved back to California, under her brother’s pleas to work things out with her parents.
- She lives in L.A now and has a tense relationship with her parents.
- At one of her parents functions she met her current boyfriend Travis, who is the son of one of her dad's associates. At first Travis was a real charmer and seemed to be a gentleman. Eventually, he proved to be like her fathers crowd. A misogynists' who wanted Marnie to quit her job so he could take care of her. He eventually turned emotionally abusive, making her feel like she had to depend on him for everything, but she's held her ground with her work. They've had an up and down relationship for the past six months, and Marnie wonders if Travis is really right for her.
- She still currently an elementary school teacher, living the life she wants to live and finally being her true self.
- About two days ago, Travis came over to her place in a fit of rage, yelling at her that her dad had gone to far. Not knowing what he was talking about she tried to calm him down, but he merely sported nonsense, rattling on about how her dad couldn't keep his damn mouth shut, and the moment her hand had gently touched his arm, he'd turned on her.
If the neighbor hadn't of heard Marnie's screams for help, she fully believes she'd be dead, as Travis took his rage out on her with his fist, nearly strangling her to death.
When the Neighbor interfered, Travis ran, and hasn't been seen since.
- Currently in Mt. Mercy hospital for her injuries.
